APPG celebrates tenth anniversary of the STOPAIDS Speaker Tour in Parliament
The All-Party Parliamentary Group on HIV & AIDS again welcomed the STOPAIDS Speaker Tour to Parliament for the tenth year running to hear more from young people about living with HIV in the UK and around the world.
The event, co-chaired by Mike Freer MP and Baroness Barker in the Jubilee Room, was attended by 30 members of the HIV community and parliamentarians and three speakers who shared their experiences of living with HIV. Chairing the event, Mike Freer noted the leadership role young people can play within the HIV and AIDS response, particularly when it comes to educating their peers. The event provided an opportunity for young people living with HIV to connect directly with MPs and Lords.
