The All Party Parliamentary Group HIV,AIDS & Sexual Health will be carrying out an inquiry in to the state of HIV and Sexual Health services in the UK.
We call on Service Providers, Users, Charities and other key stakeholders to take part.
The following questions are there to provide a guide.

The state of the UK HIV and Sexual Health Services in 2024.
· Why would this area benefit from scrutiny?
· What is the current state of HIV services in the UK?
o What is working?
o What isn’t working?
· What progress has been made with regard to HIV service ICB handover from NHSE in 2025 given that ICB staffing is currently under review and being cut by 30% in some areas?
· What is the current state of Sexual Health services in the UK?
o What is working?
o What isn’t working?
· What is the current state of the workforce in HIV and Sexual Health Services?
· What benefit has there been to the NHS by tendering GUM and HIV services?
o Financial?
o Better health outcomes?
o If there were any benefits have they counterbalanced the rising rates of STIs and HIV diagnoses in the UK which is continuing?
· Are there any plans to reunite HIV and Sexual health service funding which was the status quo pre 2012 White Paper?
· How do these services operate in:
o Wales
o Scotland
o Northern Ireland
· If there were 5 main policies the UK Government along with the Devolved Governments need to implement to improve services, what would they be?
· What preparations are being made for an expanding portfolio of services including need to care for infections that were not considered relevant in 2012 including Mycoplasma genitalium and Mpox?
· What measures are being taken to ensure that individuals receiving care in remote, rural and coastal areas is of equal quality to large urban centres?
· What assurances does government have that each sexual health service is constituted with an appropriate skill mix of staff?
· What assurances does government have that sexual health services remain accessible and free to access for residents of any postcode regardless of place of access?
What progress has been made to address the underfunding of Black, Asian and minority ethnic-led sexual health organisations?
